Today Mark shocked the class with his comment "I enjoy sex" I was quite drawn back by this comment, even though some people would find it uncomfortable as well as inappropriate for a authority figure to speak of the topic; I found it to be honest. Sex could be a controversial issue among the class but also a interesting topic, the reason as to why I payed such close attention to his opinion and advice as a professor as well as our "friend" is because he is not afraid of who he is and how he lives his life.
I notice that sex and aids was a sensitive issue for Mark because one of his friend had died from the disease, none the less I found it courageous of him to be able to approach the issue with such a mature manner.
- EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THAT YOU ARE READING THIS I MUST SAY:
That I applaud the person that you are and the faith you have in your students because unlike most teachers/professors you show that you care about what we learn and the lesson we take from each and every one of our elders. Seeing and experiencing your work ethics, gives me an little insight on the person that you are; Mark, you are not all about the money you are about influencing someone, anyone.
