Privilege lifestyle

During class today Mark stated that he considers the privilege the ones who are given the opportunity of education; do I agree? yes. Being given the opportunity for education is being given the chance of a future of success. I remember my family vacation to Vietnam a couple of years back, I came across this 16 year old girl with her mother and younger sister living on the street of Vietnam begging for money, money for dinner. They were living life day by day, uncertain of what the future could hold for them; knowing that they would go to bed hungry one night was devastating.
Now that I think about what Mark had said, it makes me think back to what the future has in store for the 16 year-old girl, because of he lack of education it could ruin her chances of any future and happiness. She would live life only in fear of the "tomorrow", thinking about my privilege future it forces me to take a hard look at what I have in my life that most people hope for.
I am thankful that I am fortunate that my future is filled with options while the unprivileged is faced with what they can get.
